SUMMARY

The Network Implementation Specialist will play an important role in ensuring smooth day to day operations of the MAHLE enterprise network environment. Responsibilities will include advanced level support for network related activities in the North America region as well as all other regions as part of the global Network Access Team. These activities include the support of our LAN and Wi-Fi network, SD-WAN, and other related infrastructure systems. In this role, the Network Operation Specialist will work with other MAHLE IT Team members, vendors and business members to operate the MAHLE network and services.

Responsibilities

• Provides top level support for our IT network services.
• Managing, operating and monitoring LAN and Wi-fi network infrastructure (routing, switching, Wi-Fi Access Points, Wi-Fi controller, NAC network security, based on Cisco technology)
• Diagnosis and problem solving regarding the network.
• Supports the global WAN environment, administration of our WAN underlay and overlay networks for all global MAHLE sites.
• Operation of the overlay SD-WAN environment based on silver peak/Aruba HPE technology. Managing incidents and changes in cooperation with the external SD-WAN Provider.
• Collaboration and managing with local network teams for physical onsite support and IMACD of network devices from remote.
• Install, configure and support multiple network layers infrastructure based on standard industries and technology such as MPLS, SD-WAN, Ethernet, TCP-IP, (practical knowledge of routing protocols like OSPF and BGP is a plus).
• Cooperation with other teams for implementing IT solution
• Communicates frequently with international peers providing direction and standards for MAHLE’s infrastructure.
• Interact with international network team to ensure that operations are coordinated, supported and maintained.
• Employees must be able to work additional hours at the end of the shift, additional days during the payroll week which can and will be more than forty (40) hours per payroll week.
• Employees must accept to work on a global on call duty team.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Escolaridade mínima: Ensino Superior Completo

Requirements 

• Bachelor's degree in IT (preferred) or technologist IT, Projects or engineering professional certificate.
• Experience with LAN and Cisco network solution, configuration, managing Cisco routers, multilayer switches and Wi-Fi devices for an enterprise network.
• Practice knowledge of configuration and managing Cisco ISE, DNA Center (Cisco Catalyst Center) and WLAN controller.
• Good knowledge of networks protocols and network services.
• Knowledge of network security (radius, TACACS, 802.1x).
• Knowledge in DHCP, DNS, IPAM.
• Team player but also good time - and self-management.
• Ability to push things through in a constructive manner.
• Work with monitoring tools like Paessler PRTG.
• Good conflict solving skills.
• Work under deadline pressure.
• Urgency sense.
• Ability to handle network inventories and provide regular reports. Strong customer focus
• Ability to travel abroad on occasion.
• ITIL principles.
• Managing lifecycle process of network systems.
• BMC Remedy and project management experience is beneficial.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Fluency in English (Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations in English language.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public).
• Cisco and Infrastructure certification would be preferred, ITIL certification will be an asset.
